Dr. Brianne Herrera

Dr. Brianne Herrera is the Student Success Analytics and Assessment Specialist in the Office of Institutional Research and Planning. In her role, she leads qualitative and mixed-methods research initiatives to support student success, including the design and leadership of institution-level surveys for incoming and graduating students that inform student support strategies and post-graduation outcomes. Brianne partners with campus units to evaluate programs, develop meaningful assessment strategies, and translate data into actionable insights that align with institutional priorities. Her work emphasizes integrating diverse data sources to better understand student experiences and outcomes. She earned her Ph.D. in Anthropology from The Ohio State University, an M.A. in Anthropology from Texas State University, and a B.S. in Astronomy from The University of Texas at Austin. Her interdisciplinary research background informs her approach to combining methodological rigor with practical application in higher education contexts.
